The law office succeeded in a tender for „Provision of legal services by law offices“ announced by Komerční banka, a.s. and thus became a supplier of legal services for the financial group of Komerční banka, a.s. as well as Societé Genérale.

David Urbanec, partner at our law firm, has been appointed a member of the First Senate of the Appeals Commission at the Bank Board of the Czech National Bank. The Appeals Commission is an advisory body of the Bank Board responsible for drafting proposals of the CNB Bank Board decisions issued in the administrative proceedings – the commission handles appeals against the CNB decisions, submits various proposals and replies and issues legal opinions. Members of the Appeals Commission are recruited from leading professionals in law and economics.

Barbora Simon Dunovská has been listed amongst the leading Czech female lawyers in the latest survey compiled by the magazine Legal Advisor (Právní rádce).

On November 1, 2016 the Act No. 254/2016, amending the statutory measure of the Senate No. 340/2013 Coll., on the acquisition of immovable property tax, shall become effective. This amendment brings significant changes to the mode of payment of tax on the acquisition of immovable property. The most striking change is that a purchaser will always pay the tax on the acquisition of immovable property; therefore, the parties in the transaction are not allowed to negotiate a contract in a different manner. In May the law firm DUNOVSKÁ & PARTNERS assembled two relay teams of lawyers and employees for Mattoni 1/2Marathon Karlovy Vary and with its active participation contributed to Safety Line Association, Czcech charity organization which the firm cooperates with within the framework of its pro bono activities. In September the representatives of the law firm attended another fundraising and sport event - Teribear Moves Prague and with elapsed kilometres contributed to the account of the Czech foundation Tereza Maxová for kids.
