Renaming of our law firm Our law firm has changed its corporate name to DUNOVSKÁ & PARTNERS with effect from July 30, 2015, when the change was recorded into the Czech Commercial Register.

Local competence in proceeding for judicial sale of the collateral Amendment to Act no. 292/2013 Coll., on special judicial proceedings (hereinafter referred to as "the Law"), amended local jurisdiction in proceedings for judicial sale of collateral; the change takes effect on May 1, 2015. Our Attorney elected to the Supervisory Board of Safety Line AssociationOn June 15, Barbora Tušilová, attorney of the Firm, was elected a member of Supervisory Board of Safety Line Association, a Czech charity organization. The membership in the board strengthens our partnership with Safety Line which provides highly qualified services of telephonic crisis intervention to children and juveniles for more than 20 years. The organisation is accredited within the social welfare system of the Czech republic and is member of a global association of children helplines "Child Helpline International" (CHI).

Amendment of the Insolvency Act could take effect on 1st of July 2016In May the Ministry of Justice sent an amendment of Insolvency Act for interdepartmental commentary procedure. This in words of the Minister of Justice, Robert Pelikán, "ambitious amendment to the Insolvency Law" proposes a number of fundamental changes related mainly to personal bankruptcies. The aim of this amendment is mainly the consistent protection of rights of participants in insolvency proceedings, strengthening supervision over insolvency administrators, reducing administrative burdens of insolvency courts, regulation of so-called deleveraging companies and strengthening the protective features to avoid so-called chicanery insolvency petitions.The amendment…

Records in public registers newly by notariesBeginning from May 2015 records in the public registers can be made also by notaries. At the March’s session the Czech Senate adopted an amendment that simplifies the whole procedure of records in public registers excepted to come into operation at the beginning of 2014 in connection with the adoption of the new Civil Code.
