Records in public registers newly by notaries

Beginning from May 2015 records in the public registers can be made also by notaries. At the March’s session the Czech Senate adopted an amendment that simplifies the whole procedure of records in public registers excepted to come into operation at the beginning of 2014 in connection with the adoption of the new Civil Code.

Compared with the commercial courts, notaries may offer a greater flexibility and lower costs of the whole process asking CZK 8000 for the first record of a joint-stock company, CZK 2700 for the first record of other types of legal entities and CZK 1000 for changes in the public register.

As such notaries will offer a one-stop-shop service, executing a requested notarial deed and subsequently registering the new data into the public register. At the end of the visit at the notary the client will receive an extract from the register confirming the completion of the procedure.
