The so-called Flexi Amendment to the Labour Code and related laws will largely take effect on 1 June 2025. The amendment introduces new regulations affecting both employment relationships and unemployment benefits. Among other changes, it provides greater flexibility for employees returning from parental leave, extends the probationary period to up to four or even eight months, and modifies the rules governing the notice period. Changes to unemployment benefits, including an increase in their amount, will come into effect on 1 January 2026. A clear summary is available on the Ministry of Labour and Social Affair’s website.
